this is one that goes both ways.
being able to spot a tourist 100 yards away. yes, if you've lived in florida long enough you can do this. it's been a joke for so long you would think people would realize. new shoes, white socks, matching "disney" shirts for groups, shorts with sandals/socks, etc.
Ohh man, I imagine this must be waaaaay worse in Florida, but growing up in Maine we were able to do the same thing in the summer and fall. Mostly summer when rich people from NY/CT/MA start swarming with their polo shirts and flip flops.
